Rexon Industrial Wins the Sustainable Society Award at the SGS 2026 ESG Awards

On November 3, 2026, Rexon Industrial Corporation Ltd. (“Rexon”) received the Sustainable Society Award at the SGS 2026 ESG Awards. The award was presented at the SGS 2026 Annual Awards Ceremony & Trends Forum, hosted by SGS Taiwan Ltd. at the Grand Hyatt Taipei. This year’s ESG Awards had three categories: Sustainable Environment, Sustainable Society, and Sustainable Governance. Five organizations received the Sustainable Society Award, and Rexon was one of them.

Teaching young people to build with their own hands

Rexon has worked in woodworking for more than 50 years. In July 2025, Rexon and the Rexon Foundation partnered with the Mustard Seed Mission to run a three-day woodworking camp, with instructors from Dongshi Industrial Vocational High School. Guided by 12 Rexon volunteers, 21 young participants started as beginners and each finished a piece on their own. In May 2025, Rexon also sponsored the National Tsing Hua University student Formula racing team, providing band saws, vacuum cleaners, power drills, and rotary tools to help the students build their race car.

A foundation for children, youth, and people in need

In February 2025, Rexon established the Taichung City Rexon Social Welfare and Charity Foundation, which Rexon funds with NT$1 million every year. In 2025, the foundation spent about NT$1.026 million. The money went to after-school tutoring at rural elementary schools, grants to children’s homes and youth residential care facilities, emergency assistance for 11 high school students, and care costs at social welfare institutions.

Volunteers beyond the factory gates

In 2025, five Rexon volunteers spent three days, 120 hours in total, helping Tucheng Elementary School in Dali clean up and reorganize its classrooms. Ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival, 27 employees signed up on their own to pack gift boxes for the Dali Smile Angels, a disability welfare association, for a total of 344 service hours. Rexon also held two blood drives during the year, with 195 donations collecting 275 bags (68,750 cc) of blood.

Investing in our own people

Rexon’s social commitment starts with its own employees. In 2025, Rexon offered 519 training courses, totaling 12,570 hours. Rexon received the Gold Award of the Taiwan TrainQuali System (TTQS) from the Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor, three times in a row: in 2021, 2023, and 2025. In 2025, Rexon was named to Business Weekly’s Top 100 Age-Inclusive Enterprises.

Guided by the belief that what is gained from society should be returned to society, Rexon will keep working with local communities through its foundation and employee volunteers, so that they grow, thrive, and share success together.
