OUR SERVICES

Empowering Youth through Maker Education

Course

Through foundation-led maker camps, children gain hands-on experience in design, woodworking, and laser engraving, creating handcrafted items such as embroidered patches, binge-watching gadgets, wooden furniture, and customized wooden crafts. These programs nurture creativity and skill-building while enriching their personal and educational growth in a fun, engaging environment.

Support for Underprivileged Communities

Donation

We provide funding for essential living needs, educational resources, psychological counseling, and vocational training, ensuring that disadvantaged individuals have opportunities to grow and improve their quality of life despite the challenges they face.

Emergency Relief Program

Application

In the event of unexpected incidents or major misfortunes, many students may face sudden financial hardship and challenges in daily life. To help them receive timely support and maintain stability in their education, we have established the Student Emergency Relief Program. This initiative provides urgent financial assistance for medical expenses, tuition fees, essential living supplies, and more—supporting students who are struggling due to unforeseen accidents or family crises. Our goal is to help them navigate difficult times and regain hope in both learning and life.

Note: This program is open to students with Republic of China (Taiwan) nationality who currently reside in Taichung City and are enrolled in senior high schools or vocational schools. Applicants must be experiencing financial distress due to sudden family changes, accidents, serious illness, or other special circumstances. To apply, please contact your school’s Student Affairs Office. Individual applications are not accepted.

Community Welfare and Local Support

Cares

We are dedicated to enhancing education in rural areas by assisting with elementary school renovations and ensuring a safer and more supportive learning environment for children. Guided by our founding commitment to giving back to society, Rexon upholds a principled and steady approach to its operations. We remain firmly rooted in Taichung, continuously fostering community growth and vitality, bringing new energy to every corner and ensuring a thriving, vibrant future.

A Woodworking Journey of Creation and Self-Affirmation for Youth | July 23–25, 2025

Rexon, driven by a spirit of love for society and a commitment to passing down experience, hosted a three-day woodworking camp at its headquarters. Rooted in Rexon Industrial’s long-standing belief—that with our hands we not only create tangible works, but also build confidence and transform the future—this camp embodies the company’s values. With 54 years of expertise in woodworking machinery manufacturing, Rexon has developed both a profound emotional bond and a strong professional identity with woodworking. We understand that behind every machine lies the wisdom and sweat of countless hands. The Rexon Foundation extended this spirit by joining hands with the Mustard Seed Mission’s youth empowerment program, guiding young people to rediscover the value and possibilities of craftsmanship through hands-on learning. Organized by the Rexon Foundation in collaboration with the Mustard Seed Mission, the camp provided a stage for youth to step beyond textbooks and into authentic experiences. Participants not only crafted their own woodworking pieces but also learned to face challenges, solve problems, and gradually build self-confidence. We believe that every young person holds limitless potential—given the right guidance and inspiration, they can thrive through real-world practice. We are especially grateful to the professional teachers and assistants from Tung-Shih Senior Industrial Vocational School’s Furniture Design Department, who dedicated themselves to delivering solid technical training and safety guidance. Beyond teaching woodworking skills, they inspired youth to explore the aesthetics and artistry of woodworking. Over the three-day program, we witnessed participants progress from unfamiliarity to independently completing their projects. Their focus and smiles were truly moving. Rexon Industrial volunteers were also fully engaged throughout the camp, offering operational support, companionship, and encouragement—embodying the warmth and sincerity of corporate volunteerism. Through their actions, they demonstrated that businesses can thrive together with society, where both professionalism and compassion can empower youth growth. This woodworking camp was not only a heartfelt initiative but also a meaningful response to the needs of today’s youth. We believe that by planting the seeds of exploration, the road ahead will grow stronger and richer. We sincerely thank every partner and young participant who helped turn this aspiration into a beautiful reality. A two-minute video has been produced to capture these touching moments. Woodworking Maker Youth Camp: Building Confidence with Hands-On Growth (July 14–16, 2026)

To empower youth through hands-on practice, self-discovery, and a sense of achievement, the Lishan Charity Foundation teamed up with The Mustard Seed Mission to host the 2nd annual "Woodworking Maker Camp." We were honored to invite Teacher Yu Hong-Quan from Dongshi Senior Industrial High School, along with student teaching assistants Guan Zi-Yi and Lin Yi-Yun, to lead the workshop and guide the participants step-by-step in crafting their own wooden folding chairs.

Most of the participating youth come from skip-generation households or economically disadvantaged families. For many of these young individuals, this camp was more than just a woodworking workshop—it was an opportunity to challenge themselves and build self-confidence. From measuring, cutting, and assembling to sanding, every step demanded patience and focus, allowing the youth to experience the joy and pride of bringing a piece of work to life with their own hands.

A successful event relies on the dedication of many unsung heroes. We extend our heartful gratitude to Teacher Yu Hong-Quan and student TAs Guan Zi-Yi and Lin Yi-Yun. Right from the early planning stages, they devoted themselves to curriculum design, material preparation, and safety protocols. Throughout the three-day event, their patient guidance enabled youth with zero prior experience to successfully complete their unique creations step-by-step.

We also express our sincere thanks to The Mustard Seed Mission for their long-term commitment to youth mentorship and companionship. Their thoughtful understanding of each child's needs allowed those who love hands-on crafting and are eager to embrace new challenges to join this valuable learning experience.

Special thanks go to our dedicated Lishan volunteers, whose full engagement ensured the smooth execution of the event. From venue setup and equipment preparation to safety oversight, tool assistance, and encouragement, their contributions created a safe and nurturing environment, passing warmth and care from person to person.

This marks the second year that the Lishan Charity Foundation has hosted the Woodworking Maker Camp. We firmly believe that what truly fosters a child's growth is not a single event, but a sustained commitment. Moving forward, the Foundation looks forward to partnering with more organizations to make this camp a signature program—helping more youth discover their potential through hands-on creation and walk confidently into the future.
