A table saw is probably the most popular tool in the workshop. It
usually is the first machine bought by woodworkers. The versatility of the Rexon table saw
with its facility to rip, crosscut, mitre cut, bevel cut and compound mitre make it an
ideal start or addition to any workshop.
The size and description of a table saw is designated by the diameter
of the blade it uses. For instance the Rexon BTS-10A is designated to take a 10"
tungsten carbide tipped blade. It will then be referred to as a 10" table saw.
When choosing a table saw, the following features are normally
considered: the motor should be powerful enough to cut most reasonable materials to its
full capacity.
The rexon table saw has a powerful 1.43Kw motor, which generates in
excess of two-horse power. This drives a 10"TCT blade giving a full 3" depth of
cut. The blade will tilt to 45º a good facility for producing chamfers and bevels.
The rip fence and mitre gauge are vital equipment when making
accurate projects. The rip fence on the Rexon table saw locks to the table in two
positions (back and front). This ensures the necessary rigidity and support to give a good
clean cut. The mitre gauge is a useful aid for angle and compound mitre cuts.Run the mitre
gauge down the outside edge of the T slot for best results. The blade, rip fence and mitre
gauge are all fully adjustable giving a fine tuning option that will give the accuracy
required by most keen woodworkers.
There are many safety features required by CE regulation that will
benefit the user. The rise and fall mechanism on the saw allows the minimum depth of blade
to be exposed when cutting thin boards.
Guarding systems completely enclose the saw blade both top and bottom
and incorporate a dust extractor connection pipe .The No-Volt release starter switch is
fitted as standard.
Optional extras include extension tables, leg stand, blades and
roller stands.
